Apostle Islands 2005 / Safely on Sand IslandUnfortunately, the conditions and lack of photo preparedness meant I didn't get any good shots of the tumultuous crossing, just the safe arrival on Sand Island. Jenny and Steven had to do the basic safety course before heading out, and they require you to capsize twice and the water's cold enough to steal your breath away even through a wetsuit. So they were tired. The butterfly at top-center seemed to have energy though. |
