Apostle Islands 2005 / The Wind RisesWe ate and watched the glassy surface of the water turn to gentle, lapping waves and nodded thoughtfully as we munched. The wind continued to pick up and had reached probably 6 to 8 mph by the time we reapplied sunscreen and got back in the kayaks. It wasn't as bad as Friday, but the ride to the southern tip of Oak (in the distance) was a very long six miles. |
