| Markets (San Francisco el Alto) Now these guys were interesting. They're live crabs that have been tied to thick stalks by some sturdy leaf, like a banana leaf. We watched the guy grab the individual crabs with their claws wrapped up so they can't hurt each other (or him, I suppose) and slide them onto the stick. He sold them in sticks of six for I think 60 quetzales, which is about $8 US. |
