| Markets (San Francisco el Alto) One of the best parts of going to the market with locals was having things pointed out to you and doing stuff you might not normally do. For instance, after some walking Carlos wanted to stop and get an arroz con leche a drink that was quite popular. We never knew what was being served up before, though had we known the name it would have been obvious: rice with milk. It's a warm drink with sugar and a touch of cinnamon added and it's really quite good. |
