| Sites (San Andrés Xecul) We did get to see a Mayan ritual in action from a distance. There were flames burning that you can't see here (hence the smoke) and the woman in the blue dress on the far right was doing some sort of expulsion ceremony. She would take a big swig from a green bottle (it looked like Squirt) and then spit mouthfuls in each of the cardinal directions. She repeated this a few times before they packed up the truck and headed home. |
