Sites (Salcaja)

This machine makes the "typical" clothes mentioned a number of times in earlier photos. The process is actually quite interesting. Long rolls of fabric resembling hair braids are dyed in various colors and left to dry. Then they're pulled apart and threaded through this machine, each thread sliding through that baleen-looking stuff that vaguely resembles my overgrown mustache. Below the machine are two pedals to manipulate the thread, and a long arm up top that's pulled across to tighten the weave. Very complicated stuff.
