Coimbra

Coimbra is a college town, the location of the most prestigious university in the country. It's definitely got that small college town feel with lots of book stores, cafe's, and energy.

Rick Steves calls Coimbra "Portugal's most easy to enjoy city" yet we didn't find a tremendous amount to do there. This is also was where we ran into the laundry incident where we planned to wash our clothes in Coimbra at a coin-op laundromat--only to discover they don't exist in Portugal.
