The Prado's special collection was "Goya: en tiempos de guerra" (In Times of War). Many of Goya's works on permanently on display in the Prado but they also brought out some of his rarely seen sketches. Goya explored the dark side of human nature and I really enjoyed the exhibit, especially the pieces in the "Disasters of War" series that focused on the atrocities committed between the French and Spanish in the mid-19th century.
