Unfortunately, a good part of the country (and especially in small towns) shut up shop for long siestas in the afternoon and the bars stop serving food around 2:00, and don't start up again until 8:00. We hit this town Arena de Cabrales, around 3:00--the worst possible time because the only thing open were the bars and they had just stopped serving food, otherwise we would have stayed for a bite.
