After a couple days in Madrid we headed out to Toledo, the once-capital of the country. The medieval city sits crammed atop a hill and it's difficult to try and get a decent perspective, so I found the image to the right to illustrate what I'm talking about.

The only site--besides the city itself--is the massive cathedral and of course there's no photography inside, so the pictures below show us wandering around Toledo. We stayed at another fantastic place we would recommend to anyone, the Hostal de Cardenal.
