| Viola! After about five minutes on low heat the corn bread rises to a spongy consistency. Two things we learned: we were a bit short on the corn bread topping as it's supposed to cover the entire top, and it would probably cook more evenly if the pot was a size smaller to trap the heat in better. But still, this has to be one of the best backcountry meals I've even had. The sweetness of the corn bread cuts the heat of the chili perfectly. |
