Giddy with Excitement

Here I am at the entrance to the Great Sand Dunes National Monument and Preserve. In the background you can see the dunes sweeping upwards towards the peaks of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, part of the southern Rockies. The tallest dunes stand at around 8600 feet.
