I sincerely hope the Czechs go home early! There are a lot of first timers this World Cup and it's hard to tell who is going to rise to the occasion. The Ukraine could easily have a better tournament than the Czechs. It all depends on the team attitude and that's hard to tell until they've played a group game. If the Czechs come out dragging their feet, they're in trouble. But the same is true for the US--if they come out with a collective chip on their shoulder and think they're entitled to another first-game win a la Portugal, they could be sadly mistaken. They're not used to going against teams with speed and finesse. I know they're favorites this time but we have a strong mid-field that is fast, which plays well against them. Unfortunately it really won't matter since only the first place team has a shot of going further. Yet there is a part of me that would love to see the dramatics Brasil would play up being against such a physical team that are the Czech's.
