More Good News on the Publication Front

Black Static #1 is out and already being reprinted (and reviewed here at Tangent) with Black Static #2 slated to come out in December. Happily, I see my name on the acceptances page, but no word on when my story “The Hodag” may be printed.

Awhile back I ordered some back issues of both Interzone and The Third Alternative (now Black Static) because of all the great stuff I had heard about TTA Press and I wasn’t disappointed. They’re similar to the magazine-sized Realms of Fantasy with its lovely interior illustrations rather than the digest-sized F&SF, Asimov’s, and Analog. If you haven’t seen them, I highly recommend springing for some back issues or a subscription.

What I also liked about them is the steady editorial hand on the tiller; they proclaim they want to publish “dark” sci-fi and fantasy and that’s exactly what’s between the pages.

I also just finished the first draft of my Joyce paper. That feels good.
