I always like it when my sporting heroes agree with me. Like on this whole business as to what’s the best league in the world. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say most footy-watching Americans would say England primarily because a) it’s all they watch, and b) that’s what the English media says.

I have long felt that the Spanish La Liga is far better from top to bottom, although I would concede that England’s top four teams are the best in the world. And look who agrees! None other than my favorite striker, Fernando Torres.
