I’m tired, unmotivated, and the weather folks have predicted a decent amount of accumulated snow, which should mean an interesting commute. It’s amazing how none of this seems to matter when Google Alerts sends you a couple of positive reviews for my story “The Hodag” currently appearing in Black Static #7.
The Fix review says that the story is “deepened by the suggestion that perhaps poverty and sadness are just as cruel as supernatural beasties”, and reviewer Colin Harvey says that “the atmosphere is excellently creepy, and the final image lingers long after the story’s end” in a recommended review.
There are worse ways to start your week.
