The Untitled Post

Time on the elliptical trainer goes by so much faster when you’re watching something entertaining and the first half of the first leg of the Champions League match between Man Ure and Inter fit the bill nicely. Except for Tommy Smyth’s commentary, the game was a fascinating affair. I only watched bits of the second half (I can’t work out for a full ninety!) and it sounds like the pace slowed somewhat. While Man Ure fans would have liked a goal, they can count themselves lucky that Inter didn’t take any of their clear cut chances themselves.

I’m also disappointed that Atletico Madrid blew the lead twice at home to Porto. Giving away two away goals doesn’t bode well for their future. And also in Spain, who would have thought that Barcelona would have to come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Lyon?

The match tracker said Ars*nal dominated Roma but couldn’t find the net. Why does that sound familiar… Anyway, tomorrow’s games should be just as tasty and well worth watching (even though I’ll be forced into watching the match trackers online). As I was playing pickup last week I kept thinking, “This is easily the best sport in the world…”

I’m a little over half-way through The Tin Drum and my attention has begun to wane. While the writing is always interesting, there are long and involved side stories that don’t always have the payout their length would require. That, and 22 CDs is a lot to listen to…
