Yeah, I keep hearing that everything in the future will be moving away from packages and toward a la carte menus. I swear, we watch about six channels out of our 1,000,000 channel package: HDTV, Food Network, ESPN, ESPN2, FSC, and GolTV. I've heard Sirius subscribers complain of the same thing. Why get 400 channels when really you only want a handful?

The other night on Fox Soccer Report, Bobby McMahon was saying Whinger wasn't talking about this game so much as future games with his "anti-football" comments and his excuses for his team losing. Seriously, at what point (if ever) will the media finally round on this man and point out the obvious---you cannot control how teams play against you, so the name of the game is trying how to figure out how to beat them despite their "negative" tactics. Or in other words, nobody owes Ars*nal and their brand of football a damn thing! Buy a bloody enforcer in the midfield and a couple goons to whack people and get on with it!

$10 is a no-brainer. I'm there. A couple of recently downsized sports reporters in Cincinnati are working on the same kind of thing: theirs is a Cincinnati sports website that they'll fund largely through subscriptions, realizing that advertising--especially the local advertising that a regional sports site will most likely attract--isn't going to cut it.

I'm just glad the Arsenal Swim & Dive team proved once again that they know how to lose in the most farcical ways. It's a talent that has gone out of the Premier League with Derby and Newcastle, and I'm glad to see that Wenger believes in it enough to incorporate it into his strategy.
